La plastica si trova praticamente ovunque, dai vestiti alle scatole per l’insalata. La plastica è molto versatile e disponibile in molti tipi diversi. Possono essere utilizzati per realizzare tantissime forme, colori e dimensioni diverse. La plastica è prodotta dall’uomo a partire da materiali naturali limitati come carbone e petrolio.
La plastica può essere buona?
L’inquinamento da plastica ha colpito in grande stile la coscienza pubblica. Programmi come quelli della BBC Pianeta Blu narrato da David Attenborough e il Salvataggio Sky Ocean movement showcase the detrimental effects of plastic pollution. Supermarkets use a large amount of plastic in their packaging, particularly for fruit and vegetables, even though many have their own natural protection. The reason supermarkets use so much plastic packaging is to protect food and prevent food waste. Removing plastic entirely may not be the best solution when it comes to protecting the environment and conserving valuable resources.
